Video Games

Video games that I have worked on through my years at University of Central Florida as an artist.

Safehaven

Take a vacation trip to Safehaven, a casual recreation of the Atari classic Warlords.

Safehaven follows the base structure of Warlords, creating a cooperative brick breaking experience with enemies, puzzles, competitive battles and even an overworld to explore. This top down game has players controlling a block to guard their corner from incoming attacks in a fast pace, casino themed easy to pick up game.

As the lead artist, I worked on the base style of the game and created a majority of the overworld props and buildings along with the background and player pieces within the levels.

Boom Bots

Boom Bots is a fast-paced arena shooter where the only type of weapon is a grenade launcher with customizable grenades chosen by the player.

Choose how your grenades travel, detonate, and what type of explosion they cause with an added variety of movement styles at your disposal.

As an artist, I worked primarily with enemy concept designs, modeling enemies and props the player interacts with in the warehouse arena space. I also worked on unwrapping, UVing and texturing certain models, along with 2D marketing material.

Locus Flux

Locus Flux is  a fast paced, twin-stick on-rail shooter. Get to the end of each level by dodging and weaving between buildings, billboards, traffic and bullets, as you fly through a cyberpunk city with the assistance of your Locus Flux, a unique ability that allows you to slow down time while in flight.

As an artist, I worked primarily on modeling and unwrapping the UVs for environmental buildings, pick ups, and enemy turrets. I also helped work on early concept sketches and a majority of 2D assets and user interface.

Star Child - work in progress

A light hearted side scrolling platformer puzzle game meant to provide a relaxing atmosphere with just enough mental stimulation.

The player takes control of a young star that is not used to watching over their solar system and ends up losing their planets. Traveling through space and different nebulas the young star solves puzzles and gathers their planets, and in turn can use some abilities from the planets (i.e. double jump, pushing objects, throwing things). Along with the planets, the player can also gather other collectibles such as different skins or effects.

The intended art style is pastel colors with minimal line work for the background but very sketch-like thin lines for the player, NPCs, pickups and interactive objects in the levels.

This is a game that I have been working on as a solo project that I hope to have finished before the end of July 2019.
